Standing Mat - a flowing and
challenging class that takes the matwork you
know and brings it vertical. Open to all, but you must be injury free and have regularly attended class for a minimum of 6 weeks. |

This
workshop takes the matwork to a vertical level.
This changes the whole perspective on the work and
adds a dimension of balance, essential to both
old and young clients. Standing Matwork is a
great way to freshen up your Mat class and it
can be useful for studio clients that have
problems lying down. Great
fun and extremely stimulating. |

This workshop uses all of the barrels, including the T-Bow, an inexpensive and portable version of the small barrel that can be used for mat classes or in clients homes! We cover how almost all of the matwork can be done on the barrels in addition to some of the other exercises in the barrel repertoire. |

This workshop looks at how to get the spine to "back bend "easily and safely without compressing the lower spine. We look at how to use spine extension to open the chest and spine and to release the lungs and ribs. Learn how back bends increase the all over flexibility of the body and why extension is so important for good posture. In this workshop we will explore and experience how to approach practicing and teaching back bends. The workshop will cover the various back extensions exercises, how to prepare the person and progress them to the full interpretation of the exercises as well as when and how to modify. The variations for Swan Dive,
Breast Stroke, Flying Eagle, Rocking and
Grasshopper will be covered
using mat, reformer,
Cadillac, chairs, spine corrector and large
barrel. |
